Amsterdam, the capital city of the Netherlands, is truly a gem. Charming canals, cozy cobble stone streets, historic architecture and eclectic culture. Amsterdam has world-class museums to see including the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House.

Nestled between Lake Pontchartrain and the Mississippi River, Crescent City is thriving. Its neighborhoods are humming with a spirit that is unique to this beautiful city. Being there in early November is inviting.

In October of 2022, my husband and I cycled from Northeast Vermont to the Province of Quebec. While taking in the beautiful fall colors of the region, we rode through quaint towns, river valleys, charming rural neighborhoods and along serene roads with beautiful views.
